Gluten Fakery was born out of the need to make great tasting wheat free and dairy free recipes for Lynn’s daughter Katherine.
She became wheat and dairy intolerant around the age of 10. At the time, the world was starting to have a conversation around the growing issue of food allergies. Particularly food associated with wheat, gluten, eggs, dairy, soy, and nuts. Unfortunately for her, they could not find any gluten free products to her liking.
What Lynn’s daughter really wanted was cake. Lynn wondered if she could make a wheat free version of the cakes she made when she attended the California School of Culinary Arts in Pasadena, California.
So Lynn decided to concentrate on developing wheat free and dairy free cakes that had the same taste and texture as the baking products she made in school. Her kids ate a lot of cake!
